Wedding Festivities-November 28, 2009

On Friday night, we went to a rehearsal dinner for Aaron and Carly. Saturday was the church wedding and then reception. Overall the girls were patient and well behaved....the best you could ask for, minus a few tantrums and craziness. They enjoyed running around like crazy on the grass area outside the reception hall, which was on top of the mountain overlooking a beautiful sunset! The h'doerves hour was yummy...although you couldn't impress the girls with crab cakes and seared tuna! However, they were quite elated with the self-serve pink lemonade table!
The reception was full of entertainment....photo booth, Tom Jones imitation, lion dance, etc. However, the favorite activity was asking Uncle Mark to take them up and down the escalator in the lobby. Eventually, they got "reprimanded and kicked-out" by a staff at the hotel. It's a good there I wasn't there to be a part of it! Amanda also loved dancing on the dance floor and didn't want to get off. With much persuasion and no result, we could not get Rachel on the dance floor but she was eager to take pictures of Amanda. Their differences continue to amaze me and I am thankful but also mindful of their different personalities.
At the end of the night, we left early...but stayed long enough for cake and a few dances. We didn't even get to take a picture with the bride and groom! The girls were so wiped out that they fell asleep in the car, after seeing the deer cross the road as we drove down the mountain.
Wearing Mom out....
Dancing the night away with Dad....

Bored...bored...trying to fuse two forks together, one of which eventually poked her below her eyebrow and left a little "reminder" for a few days!

Bored...bored...bored.... counting the railings on the chair.....

Here is Rachel trying to wrangle Amanda to stand still for a photo.

All dressed up.....Have we aged that much???????

Rachel's cousin Dillon, on the right, took our family photo that we ended using for our Christmas card.

How many ways can Uncle Tim entertain Amanda as we wait for our food?

This is one of my favorite pictures. Here is Christopher and Rachel playing tag outside the reception hall.

It was so windy after the ceremony....

Family Shot

Amanda, messing around as usual. Randy had the privilege of escorting his 102 year old grandmother down the aisle which meant I had the privilege of entertaining this chatterbox during the ceremony. Her countless, loud questions about the ceremony were entertaining but a bit embarassing!
