New CTA Members

Boy, Rachel and Amanda are having quite the week!...Today we had a rally/protest at the district office to rally for our teachers' salary increase. Complete with picket signs, bullhorn and marching, Rachel had her first taste of activism. We bundled up the girls in the windy weather and marched outside of the district office this evening with our colleagues and some supportive parents. She was a little frightened when passing cars came by and honked. I want her to grow up, knowing how to fight and stand up for what you believe in, rather than waiting for someone else to do the job. She probably won't "get" that but it's never too early to be aware.
