Goodbye Old Friend...Hello New Friend

Hello new friend! Rachel says she likes it, except for the smell. Amanda keeps asking where the old one is and could we bring it back because she doesn't like it. I think she's annoyed with the new rules that come with the couch....no eating/drinking/jumping/climbing/etc.....the list goes on and she's committed every one of those acts already.

It was the first piece of furniture that we bought as a couple 9 years ago. We lamented over what color and what kind to get for weeks and weeks....and at the time, it was a huge

purchase for us, considering that we just paid for a wedding and a condo....now look at it! However, I asked Randy to take a picture of it because I felt sentimental about it. We've seen so many movies, nursed two baby girls and have had many family moments on this couch. Notice the missing side pillows. I used each one as my nursing pillow for each girl and had to get rid of it each time because it fell apart after using it multiple times a day for a year! We even had to get this slipcover because of Amanda's dustmite allergies. It was extremely annoying because anytime anyone sat on the couch, the slipcover would ride down and slowly slip off the couch! Then Amanda would love to crawl and bury herself behind the big cushions in the back; needless to say, it was extremely dusty back there. So we had to say goodbye....
