Nine...opps... turned into ten days of fun!

While the Chow's were in Paris, we watched Jocelyn and Colin for ten days, including the extra day for the weather delay! The easiest part was the part that I thought would be the hardest. We had Jocelyn and Colin sleep in the computer room and everyone was in bed by seven. That was not a problem. The easiest part, eating and getting ready, was actually more difficult than I anticipated. Getting four kids ready in the morning for VBS took some planning...but too bad! By the time I got the hang of it on Wednesday, the parents were back!
They also made tents in the girls' room and pretended to be in "school." When Jocelyn called Amanda's name, Amanda said, " Amanda's not here!" and then ran away to hide!
The little ones actually had more fun when the big ones were not in the pool to boss them around!
They also spent a few days using the slide pool in the back.
I contemplated having them wear their clothes to sleep the night before so they would be ready in the morning....I think Rachel was the only one that actually did it!

Amanda with her crew leader, Dorcas...it was Amanda's first VBS and it almost brought tears to my eyes to watch her jumping up and down and pumping her fists up everyday praising the Lord! Also, she loved turning around and trying to find us behind her so she could wave to us, like 10 times during the worship time!

Colin enjoyed this little car that we "borrowed" from school! Thank goodness for the little things!
It's exciting to see the fruits of our labor...

One of my favorite pictures...siblings lined up~! We had a fun time at Gilroy Gardens with Maria and her kids. Although we didn't get to go on the duck water ride because we were outnumbered! The park was unusually quiet and many rides did not require much of a wait.

We were definitely outnumbered that day 3:7

Randy built a special ramp for Colin so he could slide all of his cars down onto...the girls were thrilled with it as much as he was!

Here is Randy trying to keep them "fit" during those 9 days!

I couldn't tell you what she was thinking of but it does give Medusa a run for her money!
